Days of Grace: Day 51

  1. Saying "Mr. Montel" in a french accent
  2. I saw a group of 4 punk high school kids stop to help a woman in her motorized wheelchair who had gotten stuck in the snow on the side of the road. I was touched. Of course, I was also thinking "I hope they don't rob her."
  3. I cried today when I watched Obama being sworn in. I love that he was human enough to screw up and keep his sense of humour. But what struck me so much, what caused me to tear up, was the pride and love in Michelle's eyes as she watched her partner, her love, her friend take that oath. You know you've picked the right man when his wife can look at him like that. Like he's a man to be loved, revered, respected.
  4. A had a chiropractor appointment today and for the first time in about a month, my head ache is down from an 8/10 to a 4/10. I'm pretty pleased with that.
  5. I went back to the gym after over a month of not going. The weighing and measuring was not as bad as I was expecting and I had a good work out.

  1. It was a pretty special day wasn't it? We old timers remember another like it...48 years ago. Except people lined the streets and Jack rode in an open top car. I loved when Aretha Franklin sang.

  2. Days of grace, indeed.

Hopefully they weren't the ones that pushed her into the snow in the first place...

  3. He didn't screw up...the guy reading it to him did. Which is why Obama looked puzzled. He knew what it should have been. Then the guy said it correctly. Even I knew faithfully came first. The evil part of me wondered if he did it on purpose (Obama voted against his appointment).

  4. How I was wishing that Obama would walk up to Michelle and HUG THE WOMAN dammit!!! She's been there all these months, and I wanted him to acknowledge her with a huge hug. (and a kiss wouldn't have been a bad thing either). As a woman, I'd bet money on HER hoping for the same thing.
