Day of Grace: Day 25

Today has been a good day. Lots of food, almost all my family, lots of fun, a quick nap, and more food. I hope everyone else had a day like mine today.

  1. I went over to my neighbour's place to look after their little girl, Baby Neighbour, for a bit this morning. It was so early she was still asleep. When she finally did stir, I went into her room to get her. I picked her up from the crib and turned on the light. She realized quickly who I was and broke into a huge grin. There is nothing like a baby's grin of recognition to make your heart glad.
  2. 4 kg of bacon.
  3. Lindor chocolate in the red plastic.
  4. The Guy's sister came over tonight to meet my family. Everyone got along and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. We chatted and laughed and played games. It was a good time. She did, however, comment on the secret language we sisters have. We don't even notice that we do it, but I imagine it is odd for others listening.
  5. Tomorrow, I get to shop. I've been waiting for this for 3 months. My mouth is salivating and my credit card is itchy. This is going to be awesome.

  1. Thank you again for baby sitting this morning you are an amazing friend.

Your church should give you tons of bonus points for that one...looking after a sick neighbours baby wiith no notice at 6 am on Christmas morning, major good karma.

Oh and if you ever need a cab, get may-b to make the call, she's a pro, get's exactly what you want and it's there in 5 minutes.

  2. I don't know how much 4kg's of bacon is, but it sure sounds good! In fact it sounds like an awesome day all around! And um, I know that I've been absent for a bit, but did I read engagement?! Yay!

Thank for the kind words, it amazes me how my little band of blogging friends are so wonderfully supportive - I'm in awe. I hope you had a great holiday (I'm sure you were missing you Mom) and have agreat day shopping tomorrow!

    XO,
    Mandy Lou

p.s. my word verification is phook, I like it - I think I'm going to try to work it into my next conversation.

  3. Four kg bacon! and you hasseled me for an 8 egg omelette? Oh, you mean you didn't eat it all your self. Nossik Fine Meats, no doubt.

Loved how Baby Neighbour smiled when she knew it was you waiting when she woke up. So sweet.

  4. I had a great time! Thanks for inviting me. The Hingston ladies all rocked. Graeme might also rock but I scared him away so fast it was hard to tell. :-)

E-mail or call if you folks want to get together after you're done with your retail therapy.

I really did post this already, but it hated me apparently!

    Cheers!
