While out at a local restaurant for lunch, the station that had been playing all my favourite songs from my senior year (of high school) suddenly played MC Hammer "2 Legit 2 Quit". The Guy and I reminisced for a bit and I asked if he had ever watched the cartoon "Hammer Man". He hadn't.
I admitted, I watched it quite regularly for the brief time it was on TV. I told him I couldn't remember what MC Hammer did, but it was a really good show.
The Guy: He was probably just legit-ing. He legit-ed all over the place.
Me: Legit is used as a verb in this case?
The Guy: Sure, legit can be a verb or a noun. Really, it's a state of mind.
I'm a firm believer that anything can be a verb. Anything.
ReplyDeleteYou mean supper right? Or did you have two lunches today?
ReplyDeletecrazybarefeet didn't know that song existed until a few weeks ago when it came up in conversation while we were playing cards at a mutual friends house.
ReplyDeleteWere you at the Roof Top? We were there late late Friday night and it was SERIOUSLY like high school revisted!
