I can't sleep

It is 2:25 am and I can't sleep. It may be one of many things keeping me awake.
  1. I slept 12 hours yesterday.
  2. I had three XL teas and a Supersized Coke. After 10pm.
  3. I realized at midnight I have forgotten to pay my bills.
  4. I still haven't paid them.
  5. I can't decide if I should go to this retreat or not. It seems dumb just to go on the off chance of seeing one guy. It also seems dumb not to go just because my dog will miss me.
  6. I have spent over $300 on clothes and shoes in the last month.
  7. My throat hurts.
  8. I ran out of crossword puzzle books and now I can't make my brain be quiet because it has nothing to do.
  9. I'm still not packed for this retreat that I can't decide if I'm going to.
  10. Unless you count the fact that I haven't unpacked my suitcase since I went away in July.

  1. I've been tossing and turning all night, too, as I'm trying to work out in my mind how traveling to this same camp (and then onwards to another destination) is going to work. I really don't know that it will, for me, as it's all dependent upon when I actually get to head home today. If it's too late, I'll phone and tell Joel to take off without me (assuming his car is in good working order...after that, we go to plan 'B'), because as is, best-case scenario I think we'd be arriving at our destination in the wee hours of the morning. Thinking about it, I've got: six hours or so from camp to home, another 2 1/2 hours to Regina, and then 7(?) hours to Winkler, and we lose an hour in the time change. I'm not seeing how this is possible without really screwing up plans for the rest of you guys. Oh well: burn that bridge when I come to it.

  2. You could always come to Park Valley instead?! I don't think I'm leaving until a bit later tonight, or maybe even tomorrow.

  3. You know, Lynnie always has the time of her life at PV.

And I was tossing and turning all last night, too. My room was cold and I was too lazy to get another blanket (stupid Mary). But it was cold enough to wake me up.

  4. Matt, either way we're arriving in the "wee smalls" so you might as well come. You'll enjoy it.

Shannon: thanks for the offer, I appreciate it. but I figure if I don't go to Winkler, I will just stay home.

Mary: This is true. But I am like a thousand years older than all the people who go there.
And, dude, isn't that why you got married? So Chris would go get you a blanket??

  5. I'm not going to wake him up in the middle of the night to go get me a blanket. That would require me waking up enough to talk.
