Day of Grace: Day 14

Today has been a good day. Church dinner, afternoon nap, house cleaning well underway, and a good talk with a friend who is on a 3 month excursion to Hawaii.

To top it off, Beverly from So This is Wonderland gave me a Tree of Happiness award. To accept it, I need to list 6 things that make me happy. I figured, since I'm already listing 5 things I am thankful for, I would do both in one. I'm all about getting out of work!

  1. The Guy surprised me by getting off work early to make it in time for the church dinner. Just having him there put a big, silly grin on my face.
  2. The dogs never judge me when I announce I have to go to the bathroom. They just follow along behind me like we're going on the greatest adventure ever.
  3. Nothing says warmth to me like porridge. It makes me feel all warm and snuggly on a day that is too cold for words.
  4. I have a great batch of friends. They are supportive and positive and wonderful and I love them.
  5. Scrabble games. Even when I lose I love Scrabble. Okay, I love it a little less when I lose, but it's still pretty awesome.
  6. My sisters will be here in 3 days. I am so excited, I could pee!!!!!

Now I'm supposed to nominate others for the Tree of Happiness award. So, I will nominate LynnieC, Ky and JAG from Amandolynandky because Lyn was so BITTERLY disappointed she didn't get an award last time. And that is all. The rest of you can stick it.

  1. I'm so happy you like the award, you deserve it. I love visiting your blog, you are hilarious and always a bright spot in my day. Thanks for being!

  2. My dog does that too! He's all like, "Yes! The bathroom!" and then as soon as we get there he decides it isn't so awesome afterall and wants to leave.

  3. I still can't get over that I hadn't read your email and had no idea you were engaged when I called. It was cool to hear it from your mouth. Again, huge congrats Bronwyn. If you decide to honeymoon in Maui, we should talk. I can hook you up. Okay, I probably can't hook you up because I think that means get you cheap prices on stuff (or drugs). But I can tell you the best and most romantic places to sight see and which luau to go to and watch from the beach for free.
