Creating!

A blogger friend has been sewing a lot lately and has inspired me to get out my sewing machine. Of course, the second I did, it broke. Really it's not my fault, it belonged to my paternal grandmother and is from before I was born. But, she had it 30 years or so and it was fine. I've had it 5 years and I destroyed it. Bah. So, I stole Lyn's sewing machine and went crazy. I had a great time with a plan I came up with about two weeks ago.

I got an adorable housecoat for Christmas one year from my favourite daughter of a friend. It was cute as a button, so of course, I wrecked it. But, I couldn't just get rid of it - the material was too cute. So, I made Montel a dog bed from it.
It's not quite how I envisioned it, but I like it. Too bad Montel doesn't.

  1. Oh, it's cute. Your dog doesn't like it? That's lame... he has no taste.
Maybe he's just not used to it yet.

  2. It think it's lovely! I expect my dog would give it a go, but only after she tossed it around for a while and dragged it all over the house - adn probably pulled some stuffing out for good measure.

  4. Thanks guys! I am thinking about making this type of thing and trying to sell it. Out of blue jeans and quirky material.

Madison likes the bed ok and I am sure Montel will use it when there is nothing else to lie on.
