All down hill from here

I am falling apart. I have turned 30 and am falling apart. I should be too young for my body to be turning against me, but I guess it's not like I've done it any favours, so maybe it figured it's done what it can. I have so many aches and pains that most of my conversations sound like I am 80 and in a care home.

My hips hurt. I've been told that I am not allowed to walk the 2 miles a day that I was doing in an effort to lose weight. I am not supposed to use my treadmill or go running. I have to wear orthopedic shoe inserts to try and adjust my gait so my back stops going out of whack.

My jaw hurts. I've been clenching and grinding my teeth for so long they are either going to fall out or wear away. I've been told not to chew gum because it is too much action for my jaw to take.

Now, I've got tendinitis. My rotator (sp?) cuff is screwed up and I have inflamed tendons in my shoulder. My doctor asked me what I did and how I injured myself. How??? I have no idea. I likely rolled over in bed or picked up a sandwich. Either activity was obviously too stressful on my poor, weak body.

Seriously. It's like my body made it to 30 and then said "Phew! I'm done".

  1. I totally share your "issues".

I've got a night guard for the incessant grinding and, every morning, my poor husband has to use his elbows on my lower back to get it to "unlock" from the overwhelming stress of SLEEPING.

That's right. I sleep too hard. Or something.

I could handle the ageing process and all the crap that happens if my body wasn't doing things that made me feel STUPID to admit.

On the other hand, I just can't WAIT to see what pops up next. Cramps from, oh, say, BREATHING?

  2. Tell me how the orthotics go. My chiro is considering making me start wearing them too.

And I'm not even thirty, and I have hip pain and corns on my toes! Who gets corns before they're fifty? It's slightly less bad than bunions.
