I blame the name.

I was looking on Site-A-Day and found this site for name meanings and how your name actually affects your life. Since I love names and what they mean (especially mine), I thought I would look it up. I've seen variations before, but this is pretty dead on.

  • Although the name creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it frustrates you through a scattered and emotional nature.
  • This name can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the liver, bloodstream, and through worry and mental tension.
  • Expression comes naturally to you and you are rarely at a loss for words; in fact, you have to put forth effort at times to curb an over-active tongue.
Reliable and Responsible? Check. Scattered and emotional? Check. Frustrated, worried and experienced mental tension? Check. Rarely at a loss for words? Check.

Yeah. That's me. Who knew I was beat before I was born?

** I checked Ky and Lyn's full names too and it was dead on!! Weird.

  1. Glad to see you're still awake. Night shift? I typed my name into that site and it's also pretty bang on. Especially this part, which kind of freaks me out: "This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the elimination system and reproductive organs." Good grief I hope my ovaries are alright.

  4. Dude. That seriously sucks. They could at least be thoughtful enough not to do when you can't. How rude.

  5. Well, I guess I can't be too judgmental. We (hubby and I) happen to be rather...expressive. So, I suppose, all the power to them.

  6. Well, then they are likely getting back at you. It's like duelling banjos.

  8. By the way, I love the picture in your flickr account entitled, "Grandma loves Davy." When I first saw it, I immediately thought, "yeah, and Davy loves Grandma's leg." Oh dirty Uncle Davy...
