Things I want to know

1. Where does the phrase "crazy as a hoot owl" come from? I use it all the time and have no idea. Are hoot owls actually crazy?

2. Is anyone switching to the Beta Blogger? I am alternatively wanting to and dreading it.

    I switched to beta blogger. The only bad thing about it is that I can't comment on people's blogs who aren't also beta blogger. They have been "working to fix the problem" for quite a while now.

    Other than that, I'd recommend it.

    The Palinode switched to beta quite a while ago, and it's been fine. He IS able to comment on non-beta Blogger blogs, though. I tried to switch, but I was told that my blog's too big to do that right now.

    I am still putting it off. But the sign advertising the switch is getting progressively larger and larger, so I am thinking soon we won't have a choice.
