On the first day of birthday, my Dad gave to me...

A digital camera!!
He bought it for my birthday but won't be around for it. He also can't stand to hold onto a gift once he has purchased it. Most of my whole family is like that. Trying to get Lyn and Grae to actually give their presents to each other ON Christmas would be reason for the peasants to rejoice. But, at least I know they come by it honestly.
It is a cool camera and totally more than I ever expected. I have figured out how to take pictures... sort of. I do have a nearly infocus one of Maddy. I will have to read the manual, but when I do my eyes glaze over and I go to my happy place (which, incidentally, is Walmart). I will someday figure out how to get the tiny pictures onto my computer too. But maybe not for awhile.
So, if this is the start of the 25 day celecration that is my 30th b-day, I'm stoked.

Total aside:
Best quote tonight? Puppy, you smell like bacon and love.

No, Maddy said it to Lyn. Duh.

  2. What kind of camera is it? Let me know if you like it after you've taken a few more pictures and mastered putting them on the computer. Eventually I will get around to getting one and I am the laziest shopper for stuff like that. I'd rather ask people I know what they like instead of reading consumer reports (yawn).

  3. I just got a high-5 thing from him in my junk mail, and that means that he didn't actually send it, but it's somehow automatically forwarding from people's e-mail accounts. Maybe it's sent through my hotmail (because I have your e-mail address) or something. Because he has my e-mail address, because he performed my wedding.

  4. I was wondering why Brian was starting a high five thing. I was like...okay, you're my friend.

  5. I find it amusing that Brian Hannigan has now been referred to as creepy even by someone who doesn't know him.

  6. I got that too, and I was like, What? It just did not fit with my image of him. At all.

  7. Brian isn't creepy. Well, not all the time.

  8. Not only have I never been emailed a hi-5, I don't even know what it is. And that dude is totally creepy, sometimes - on Wednesdays.

  9. Hi5 is this lame thing where you sign up, create a profile, make all your friends do the same and then create your own personal "network" of your friends and their friends and on and on. It always reminds me of the example of how an STD spreads. One person spreads it to two people who in turn spread it to two people. Its just not good.
