Top Gun

My co-worker, after finding out I didn't tell him about my break up until almost two weeks later, said "How could you not tell me?? I thought I was the Goose to your Maverick!"

  1. Dang. You gotta tell Goose what's what.

  2. I didn't know he was my Goose. (That just sounds weird.) I think it's a guy thing. I mean, I get it... but I didn't know!!

  3. Man, my mouth just started watering at reading the words "Toonie Tuesday." I miss living a block away from KFC. My arteries probably do not.

  4. No, Ky, it wasn't twoonie tuesday. He's my boss not my wingman. Goose is basically like working with my brother everyday. Except more annoying.

  5. Don't you realize that he is implying that YOU are the cool one! Ummm, what does that say about him?

  6. He's way cooler than I am. But he's always my wingman. Mostly b/c I'm always in charge. I think what it says about him is that he's whipped. His wife is the boss of him in real life and I'm the boss of him at work.

  7. Then it makes sense. He had to say you were his "Maverick," rather than his "work wife." He probably doesn't think you're ready for that kind of commitment.
