Books

What is the most beautiful book you own?

I own a beautiful book of Jane Eyre that I got in grade 6 from a friend. She was very into books like that at the time. I love it - the binding, the cover, the pages. It looks great and smells good. And I still haven't read it. I can't bear to ruin it by opening it.

What is your favourite book to read?

I have a lot of books I read over and over again. Some from my childhood - Jenny's Corner (a story of a girl who watched deer from her bedroom window) and Homecoming (a story of four kids who walk cross country after their mother abandons them in a parking lot). Then there are grown up books I like to read and re-read too. Like The Ugly Ducking (a story of an ugly lady who is disfigured and then after getting surgery goes on to get revenge) and A Place Called Home (about an unlikely pair of friends who get seperated and find each other years later).

  1. I have a leather and gold-leaf embossed copy of "Moby Dick." Every time I read it, I get gold sprinkles on my fingers!
