charming and friendly

Jessica from daysgoby awarded me with this award. I was so pleased! Someone thinks I'm charming AND friendly. So, obviously doesn't know me at all! But I am pleased that someone thinks I am "exceedingly charming". I think the very same about Jessica!

This award is given to the writers of blogs that “are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

Now to list 8 bloggers who have fantastic but unappreciated sites and who have really become friends both in real life or only online.

Roger at Marginally Clever. The first time I stumbled into his site, I read for hours. I actually started at the beginning and that is something I rarely do. I stalked him on Myspace and also on Facebook. Facebook says he's my friend and you can always believe Facebook. He does not post near enough for my liking, but I guess with a wife and a job, I have to cut him some slack.

Tim at I'mnotBenny. With stories about his dogs Blind Shana and Fat Pogo and his great love of all things William Shatner, I have become an instant fan. I think if we met we would be very good buddies. Or, he would indeed be a serial killer living in his mom's basement.

NotQuiteAwake (or, as I know her - Jamie) from Counting Sheep. I met her when she was working with my sister and now we talk more often than they do! She has a fantastic, wry sense of humour and never fails to make me laugh. We're like the same person in many respects which likely makes it self-congratulatory to say how great she is.

Seven from Oh My Seven is wonderful. I have never met her, but I am sure that if she appeared one day she would blend right into things with my sisters and I and we would never notice the difference. In my head, Seven is just another sister. She doesn't blog much any more - SHAME ON YOU - but when she does it is light and fresh and funny.

My real like sisters: Ky, LynnieC and our fake-adopted sister Amanda from Amandolynandky. Separate they are all pretty great. Put them together and they are hilarious. I spent a week with them in February and my sides still hurt from laughing. Their blog is a lot of funny and awkward stories, weird and bizarre crushes, and a whole lot of awesomeness.

And since they count as 3 bloggers, I only have to pick one more!!!

Dixie from Vandermeander. It was a toss up between her and her husband Marc from The Eagle and Child, so I'm going to list them both. I love reading both their blogs. They have great stories about their kids, great insights into their relationship, and they are both just wonderful people. They are the kind of people you wish you were. Or, that you wish lived next door to you. I like 'em.

  1. Aw, thanks Bronwyn!

"They are the kind of people you wish you were"?

    Seriously?!

Well, that is a compliment if I've ever heard one. Not sure if it's true. But I'll take it.

    :)

  5. Aw, thanks! And yeah, I know, I KNOW. I should get back on it. I think I've just lost my mojo or something.

And I totally agree that you guys and I would get along famously if we ever hung out in real life. Someday when I'm not so busy & poor I'll take a trip up there and meet y'all, and it will be AWESOME and we will speak about our crushes.
