Guess where I am off to? That's right, boys and girls, I am off to Grandma's house. I am loading up a basket with goodies, donning my red shawl and trekking through the woods.
Actually, I'm loading up my car with puppies, donning my coolest clothing (Gram keeps the house a scalding 26 degrees) and trekking up the highway with The Guy.
The family is celebrating Christmas on the 23rd and 24th with Grandma. She figures it is her last winter in her place (I said, can you actually plan that?) and so she wanted it done up right. While Grae and Mel can't be there, the rest of the clan is heading North. And, I am bringing The Guy.
Yup, I am introducing The Guy to Grandma. I told him to look forward to puzzles, repeating conversations, long stories, sneaked food to the dogs, long afternoons and naps.
He's bringing his iPod.
Just make sure he doesn't smoke.
