NEW HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!

The Guy and I bought a house.

We looked at it early last week, but it seemed too impractical - it has a huge yard, no fence, no grass, an unfinished basement and is 2 bedroom only. However, it was in the perfect bay, had a great huge lot and everything else was exactly what we wanted. The kitchen was gorgeous, the bedroom is huge and I could live in the master bathroom - with it's two person tub, full shower and huge vanity. The master walk in closet and monstrous kitchen pantry didn't hurt either.

We went to another house that had all the renos done, yard finished, basement done, 3 bedrooms etc. And I hated every second of it. The kitchen was tiny and the dining room barely fit a table for 4.

So we thought we would sit on it over the weekend and wait to see what came up. I went to church on Sunday and asked for prayer. I asked that we would be shown exactly what house God wanted us in and that we would be at complete peace with the decision.

That Tuesday we went to two of the ugliest houses in Regina. They were in our price range, but needed complete gutting. We walked out of the second house and The Guy turned to me and said we should put our offer in on the house we wanted. We were in complete agreement. We put the offer in the next day. It took some finagling with our realtor and theirs, but today at 4pm, we signed the paperwork that will make this our house as of July 15th.

We own a house!!!! And we couldn't be more thrilled.

* I removed the link to the house. Ky's right. Some of you are creepy and I don't want you to know where I live. DAD. Kidding.

  2. It has underground sprinklers and only needs sod and "some" fence. Awesome. How much is "some" fence?
Same question as Shannon - do you get appliances? And get a fridg that makes ice automatically!!
Tanya and I are really happy for you. I suppose we sleep on the floor in the basement when we come to visit?

  3. Dude--now everyone in the internets is going to know your address from the link, right? Aren't you scared of potential crazies?

  4. Possession is July 15th. We get the fridge and stove, but not washer and dryer. Some fence means... we have about 100 ft left to build.

  5. Yah and if some internet weirdo finds your myspace page absolutely do not friend them! Or friend them in fear of possible retribution.

  7. Just to warn you, internet crazies could probably find the address even without the link. My mom found it online just from the details given. She's got mad skills -- she can cut beans while she waits.

  10. Way to go! Your very own house. Together. A "little" work to do. Just keep Montel inside or on a leash.
