Well, it's a variety of some sort

For the last few Christmases, I've made pancake breakfast. It's my favourite thing to do -- have a house full of people and make them all breakfast. Pancakes, bacon, and orange juice.

This year, I realized on Christmas Eve that I didn't have any orange juice. I ran to the local Shopper's Drug Mart and was quite impressed to find they had a variety of the brand I like. So, I grabbed two. I knew Ky liked OJ with pulp in it and I thought everyone else didn't. I was in a rush, threw two different ones into my basket and head out.

When I got home to unload the juice into the fridge I saw I had made a mistake. Sure, I grabbed one box of "with pulp" but the second box was "with MORE pulp".

I had read the "beaucoup de pulp" as "without". So much for core French.

  1. Mmmmm, chunky orange juice.
I actually like pulp. I think I'm in the minority.

  2. You obviously inherited your reading ability from you father. We see what we expect to see, not what is actually there.
