If you want to feel good in a cheesy, teenagy kind of way, watch the Sandra Bullock flick. Plus, I think Harry Connick stars... niiiice. If you want to cry your eyes out and madly contemplate humanity's ultimate demise... go for Don Cheadle and Co. Good movie though. I'm just saying.
Oh but that's the beauty of being a girl - complexity. But seriously it all depends on your mood - I've tried to watch Hotel Rwanda three times and stil can't get in the right frame of mind!
