Hodogni two

Last night, I was out talking to my neighbour and letting the dogs let off some steam. Suddenly, I noticed it was far too quiet. I frantically searched around and, sure enough, Madison was gone. The back fence showed signs that she had pushed the wood far enough out of the way to escape. Trust my dog to figure out how to take the fence apart. I called her and she came running back to me as fast as her legs could take her - ears streaming behind her in the wind she created - pleased as punch that I had finally noticed she was having fun. I pulled her into the yard, fixed the board and went back to my conversation.

And then my spidey-sense went off again. I looked around and found Madison. Phew. But where was Vicki?? I checked the fence - it was intact. And then I heard the jingling of Vicki's collar tags and saw her. On the other side of the fence. So, I reached over and brought her back in the yard. She looked at me, grinned and climbed underneath the fence. She realized she is small enough to sneak under when neither of the other dogs can. Of course, it took her a month to realize it, but alas the gig is up.

I have to fix the damn fence.

  1. I've got a bunch of cement brick thingies you could have a couple of to plug the hole and hold up the fence if you like.
