Egg-sellent

Grandma can not send us home empty handed. It is against her nature. She always gives us gas money - even if it's only $10. And she always, ALWAYS sends us home with food. Sometimes it is things she has prepared. Sometimes it is what she has handy. Once, I went home with a block of cheese and half a ham.

This weekend was no exception to the rule. We were doing pretty good this time for not getting weird and wonderful things. She gave us 3 mini carrot muffins, a couple of scones and two store bought cinnamon bread twists. We were quite happy knowing there were minimal things that we would have to store in our fridge and guiltily throw out in three weeks. And then she gave us one more thing.

4 hard boiled eggs. In a muffin container. With "Hard Boiled" written on each egg in red marker.

Lyn took a couple to work because she had forgotten to make a lunch. She informed us the eggs were not hard boiled after all.

  1. Thank you. I had a crappy day and I needed a laugh. Your Gandma rules. (And I also have the "Here, take this food with you" Grandma.)
