Ah, Feminism

Mel and I went out last night and ended up at the Pussy Cat Dolls Club. I was a little horrified but Mel really wanted to check it out. We watched the girls gyrate on the floor - one small step above a strip club dance. As we left, I said to Mel, "I am so glad women fought to get the vote." Mel looked at me, cocked her head to the side and said, "Huh? I don't get it."

but really, i'm pretty sure those women aren't being forced into it.
Who has the power in that situation the girl commanding the attention of every guy there or the guy dumbstruck and drooling? Take my money, i don't need it.

  4. Of course they aren't being forced. That's no argument though. A lot of prostitutes aren't being forced, either. Doesn't mean that they're not demeaning themselves and becoming objectified.
In the world of retail, who has the power? The person paying? Or the object being paid for?

  5. If someone is willing to take off their clothes for a living and someone else is willing to pay, what gives anyone the right to tell them they shouldn't?
