First day of doggie training

Monty and I had our very first day of school on Saturday. I think it was actually Monty's first time being without either one of the other dogs too. He was terrified and thrilled at the same time. He sat on my lap while I drove and relished in the fact he wasn't sharing it with some other dog.

When we arrived to Petsmart, I wasn't sure how he would react. He can be really aggressive with other dogs. He behaved all the way through the store to their training area. When we got into it, he shook with fear for about the first 20 minutes. He got over that quick enough.

Some of the other dogs were less well behaved than any of mine have ever been. And for those of you who knew Desi? You know that's a feat in itself. (Desi was the queen of sacking all our male company and also escaping through living room windows if I wasn't paying attention.) Monty took exception to all the misbehaving and decided to make his unhappiness known. A particularly large Chocolate Lab wasn't listening to his master, so Monty leaned over nonchalantly and bit him square on the nose.

He then didn't get along with a white poofy dog or a black cocker spaniel. But, he did love the instructor and daintily accepted treats from her. We didn't learn anything, but it was interesting.
